This book examines the need to address learning issues affecting students, including struggles with reading, writing, arithmetic, learning behavior, and other educational challenges. Every student deserves the opportunity to develop the basic skills necessary to succeed in school and in life.
When students receive the support and education they need, they are better prepared for graduation, the workforce, college, vocational education, the armed forces, and the responsibilities of adulthood.
The Public School Curriculum Revolution challenges us to look critically at the current educational system and consider meaningful changes that can better serve students, families, teachers, administrators, school boards, legislators, and the public.
The goal is not simply to identify what is wrong, but to encourage meaningful conversations about what can be done to create a more responsive and effective educational process.

This book is dedicated to my daughter’s mother, Sandra Kaye Thomas, and my phenomenal actress daughter, Lisa Marie Thomas, a voice-over artist, for her intelligent choices, gentle spirit, hard work, exceptional education, character, and personality.
It is also dedicated to my family, my friends, and everyone who has touched my life and inspired me through love, friendship, advice, mentorship, and shared life experiences.

Dr. Woodie’s daughter, Lisa Marie Thomas, is a graduate of Bak Middle School of the Arts and Dreyfoos High School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she studied Theatre and graduated with honors.
Lisa graduated from Florida State University in four years with two Bachelor of Science degrees, Cum Laude, in Finance and Marketing, with a minor in Communications.
Lisa has appeared in Blake Shelton’s Footloose II with Julianne Hough, The Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries, Hope Dancer, and other productions. She is also a voice-over artist.

ABOUT WOODIE THOMAS
Dr. Woodie Thomas is a critical-thinking trial lawyer, educator, author, public speaker, consultant, and Education Advocate dedicated to creating meaningful change for individuals, families, and communities.
He earned an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree from Oakland Community College, Highland Lakes, Michigan; Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, in April 1969; Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law, DeKalb, Illinois, in September 1978; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Education from The University of Iowa in May 1982.
His professional background brings together law, education, advocacy, critical thinking, and a commitment to improving the educational process.

Dr. Thomas believes meaningful educational change requires recognizing the individual needs of students while also supporting the teachers, administrators, school boards, legislators, families, and communities responsible for the educational system.
His work as an Education Advocate focuses on encouraging people to examine the educational system critically, understand its challenges, and consider meaningful solutions that can help students achieve their highest potential.
